I’ve been with HoneyBook since 2018. If you’re thinking about getting started with this client management system (CMS), definitely read this review first. Here are a five reasons you don’t want HoneyBook as your CMS.
Smart Files
Intuitive Automations
Schedulers
Autopay & Secure Payments
All-In-One Platform
Smart Files
You won’t like HoneyBook if you don’t like comprehensive smart files that clients love. They are fully customizable and there are plenty of templates for them. Your brand fonts and colors can be easily applied to whole document. For extra protection, you can have an access code (on by default) so only your clients can open that file. Plus, you can expire the file to make sure that it is filled out in a timely manner.
You can use smart files as questionnaires, invoices, service selections or brochures, schedulers, or even fully customize them to combine different documents into one with as many pages as you’d like. Onboard or offboard clients, get feedback, make sections required, automate an invoice from their selections and do so much more. Smart files can have pictures, text, and video, too.
Intuitive Automations
If you like to do everything manually and spend hours doing the same things over and over again, then HoneyBook isn’t for you. HoneyBook has these intuitive automations that let you send those Smart Files I mentioned earlier after certain actions are triggered. Maybe you send the same email to your clients after they book. Or maybe you send a questionnaire 30 days before their event date. You can even automate HoneyBook to set up tasks for you after certain triggers are made. Why automate any of that so you can have a life?
Schedulers
When you set up your scheduler, you can create buffers so you can create space in-between sessions, define your availability, and pick which kind of session it is including in-person, video, or a phone call. The video sessions can be integrated with Zoom so that a unique link, passcode, and meeting ID is created for each session. Your clients will have real-time view of your availability.
In addition to all the things I’ve mentioned above, Honeybook also integrates with your calendar so you don’t double-book. I mean who wants to be organized and make sure they run their business as efficiently as possible? Isn’t it better when you accidentally book two weddings on the same day?
Don’t get me started on how you can schedule your emails, too.
Autopay & Secure Payments
I don’t know about you, but I just hate it when my CMS system let’s my clients autopay and sends automatic reminders. And the payments can be deposited INSTANTLY to my debit card or I can let them go into my bank account directly after a couple of days. I mean, why make it so easy and so secure for my clients. You can set up reoccurring payments, too. And if you’ve got one of those clients, HoneyBook will help you with dispute resolution instead of just siding with that client. There is also fraud-protection, tipping, and the ability to pay in-person.
All-In-One Platform
There are also finance tools to keep track of your expenses. HoneyBook tracks your leads so you can see where you get the most sales from and your rate of booking clients. You can see your profits vs losses and even integrate with Quickbooks.
You can manage multiple businesses from one Honeybook account, and no matter what your profession, photography, videography, event planning, baking, blogging, accounting, floral design, virtual assistant, hair and makeup artist, DJ, Photo Booth, interior design, graphic design, or literally anyone with a client, you’ll see that HoneyBook isn’t for you.
When you are new to HoneyBook, they will even upload existing documents to your templates for you such as pricing & service lists, contracts, invoices, and questionnaires. It’s a completely free service to help you get your business going or keep going so you don’t have to spend time doing admin work. Unless you really like doing admin work and that’s your bread and butter, then you don’t really need HoneyBook for that.
If you don’t take my word for it, try HoneyBook for yourself and see how much you won’t like it. Use my link here to get 25% off a one-year subscription to really spend the time getting in there and seeing that it isn’t for you.
