Saturday was a dream come true in Philadelphia at the Green Valley Country Club. Tina & Ben had the perfect day, with a lovely overcast and a little sun. That made shooting a wedding in June so pleasant! If you saw their engagement blog, you know that Tina and I have talked about me capturing her wedding for quite some time. I even told them I had like 5 dreams about their special day the week before. I was obsessing, lol, And for a good reason.

Let me say that I loved every moment of laughter and tears alike. The love Tina and Ben share is top-tier. Who knew that a chance encounter of meeting someone at a party dressed as a derby girl and the other in a dinosaur onesie could be the stars aligning to find their soulmate?

We started out the day with first looks with Tina’s dad and her and Ben. Everyone was so emotional, and it was the most beautiful thing.

This was one of the sweetest first looks I’ve ever captured. Ben did not hold back any emotions as he was stunned by Tina in her best dress. Btw, it has pockets!!! I love the two of them together.

We ventured around the golf course after the first look with Tina and Ben. And I got to drive a golf cart for the first time. It was so much fun. It made them feel like royalty.

Once we were done with the couples’ portraits, we did the wedding party. When I asked them to strike a pose and cheer, they understood the assignment. Besides their amazing energy, one of my favorite things about photographing the wedding party is getting to see all the vibrant colors of their wedding. These beautiful shades of green and blue are just gorgeous. I remember when Tina reached out to me and asked about the colors. Green and blue are my favorites, so I was on board.

Both of them have such kind families. They made family formals so easy and so much fun. We were right on time; they even had time to relax before the ceremony.

Even though dark clouds rolled in after all the pretty portraits were done, not a drop of rain was seen—just beautiful overcast, which I love for ceremonies. The cloud coverage made the wedding colors pop, and it gave the ceremony an even light with a touch of mist.

We did some just-married portraits with the veil in front of the gorgeous arbor created by Events by Organized Chaos. It was so whimsical and gorgeous.

We finished up and headed into the party with beautiful speeches, a sweet cake cutting, and some very good first and parent dances. We had so much fun with DJ Gaetano. It was hit after hit.

During the cake cutting, they were so sweet. They decided to *not* smash it into each other’s faces.

Not only will they have a gorgeous gallery to look through, but they’ll be getting back some amazing wedding footage from the creative team at Trabbland. I love working with videographers, and I am so excited to see the final product!

All of the hard work and planning, and thought that went into this magical day paid off. It was an amazing day that was overflowing with love.

Tina and Ben, enjoy that forever Honeymoon. This was a wedding for the ages. Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Donovan!
